Overview

In Scarborough's beautiful valley, The Ashburton Hotel is a family-run hotel just a few minutes’ walk along the tree-lined Valley Road from the South Bay and the beach.

All of the charming and comfortable accommodation has its own bathroom and is well-equipped, with TVs with DVD players, tea/coffee making facilities, hair dryers and radio alarm clocks. The hotel also now boasts a recently decorated 4-poster suite.

Following further refurbishment in November 2010, most bathrooms have been upgraded, most bedrooms now has an LCD TV and all now feature leather tub chairs to all rooms for additional seating.

Throughout the public areas, the hotel aims to capture the charm and elegance of the late Victorian period, during which the hotel was built.

Choose to take breakfast in the dining room or alternatively relax and enjoy a leisurely breakfast in bed. The hotel offers an extensive breakfast menu and as well as offering a full English breakfast, the hotel also offers grilled kippers and many other lighter options.

Area information

Scarborough is Britain's oldest coastal resort and as well as having numerous attractions in its own right, the town is also an ideal base from which to visit places such as Robin Hood's Bay, Whitby, York and the North Yorkshire Moors National Park.
Travel information

By Car:
- When you arrive in Scarborough, follow the signs towards South Bay and the Spa Conference Centre.
- When you reach Valley Road, the Ashburton Hotel is about 100 metres down the road, on the left-hand side.

By Train:
From the train station, turn right at the traffic lights and walk over Valley Bridge. Then turn left at the end of the bridge and then left again at the bottom of the hill. Walk back underneath Valley Bridge, and you will see the Ashburton Hotel about 200 metres further down, on the right-hand side.

The Ashburton Hotel does not accept large single sex parties without prior notice, please email for further information. Bookings for more than one room for single night stays may not be accepted, please email for confirmation prior to booking.
